Her internship was at Johns Hopkins University Hospital.

She has been an organizational consultant for over 15 years. She has helped a myriad of industries such as technology, transportation, marketing, publishing, home furnishings, apparel, finance, insurance, health, automotive, criminal justice, and the senior industries. She has developed mental health service delivery and quality control systems in a variety of clinical settings on both a local and national level.  All of this enables her to provide her clients with a broad perspective of ideas and methods.

Dr. Kurtz specializes in structuring services based on verified psychological principles of human behavior. Her concentration on proven behavioral mechanisims combined with extensive consumer research, results in higher gross profit margins with less need for hands-on monitoring of personnel.  All services are structured to “train-the-trainer” and are offered in a manner which allows for the principles which are presented to become a fully integrated part of any company’s daily operations and culture.  Her training is exceptionally “people friendly” which results in high levels of learning and productivity.

Dr. Kurtz has written – and continues to write – numerous published articles, and constantly seeks quality time with her family.  She also is a sought-after public speaker, and has been a presenter at many and various industry conferences/forums and a key-note speaker for Fortune 500 and 100 companies.

She is the sole developer of the Kurtz Personality Style Index (KPSI), a hiring tool to determine if a potential candidate matches the culture of the hiring organization, and the Cultural Index (CI), a six item questionnaire to mathematically determine the culture of an organization.

Trivia from Samantha…

Music: “I love most every type and style of music and never far from my iPod. Music, for me, is able to reflect the full spectrum of human emotions and spiritual potential. A good song makes my heart rejoice. And a good country tune makes my feet rejoice.”

Movies: “Gone With The Wind.” “Out of Africa.” “Pretty Woman.” “Bridget Jones.” “Jerry McGuire.”  Once I get past being a hopeless romantic the reformer in me is moved by the values found in “Glory,” “Brubaker,” and “The Shawshank Redemption.”

My Heroes: “Heloise (of Heloise and Abelard fame); Robert Gould Shaw (Civil War General played by Matthew Broderick in Glory); the dance band on the Titanic.”

Favorite Quotes: “Pride goes before destruction and a haughty spirit before a fall.” (Proverbs 16:18) “Experience is what you get when you didn’t get what you wanted.” “Courage in women is often mistaken for insanity.”
